Graphics card in the Magma ExpressBox is showing yellow flag

Last Updated: Sep 08, 2016 12:01PM PDT

Product: ExpressBox
Computer: Laptop
Operating System: Vista

I have Nvidia and ATI video cards. Both card are working fine with Magma using Laptop running Windows XP.  I am now using laptop running Windows Vista,  Nvidia or ATI  card  did not work.  The video card is showing a yellow bang (code 12)

My Laptop has integrated Intel onboard video card. What do I have to do in order to use external Graphics card with MAGMA with Windows Vista Operating System.

It would be very difficult to make this thing to work especially in Windows Vista.

Download the Vista driver for the graphics card, install or update the driver

• After loading the Vista driver for the Graphics Card, shutdown the laptop
• Disconnect the Magma ExpressCard from the laptop
• Power on the laptop ( do not connect the ExpressCard yet)
• Boot all the way to Windows
• Reinsert the ExpressCard
• Windows should detect the Graphics card
• It should install the driver automatically
• If you are prompted to restart, do not restart but shut it down instead
• Disconnect the expresscard again
• Power on the laptop
• Reinsert the Magma ExpressCard
Check if the error code or yellow exclamation mark goes away.

If not, do these:

1. Shutdown the laptop
2. Disconnect the ExpressCard from the laptop
3. Power on the laptop and then press F8
4. Windows Advanced Options Menu will come up
5. Don’t do anything yet, don't touch the keyboard
6. Reinsert the Magma ExpressCard
7. Select " Start Windows Normally"
8. Press Enter

Check if the error code or yellow exclamation mark goes away.

If not, you can try disabling the onboard video card and starts following the above steps again.

Your last resort, use Windows XP.
