I have an old EB7-x4 expansion unit that I just recently replaced the power supply, but the unit is not powering up. The old 420 Watt power supply was dead, had to replace it with the 550 Watt.
After installing the new power supply, the expansion unit still unable to power up.
You need to buy a 5 volt load resistor and connect that to the power supply.
With the new power supply, it requires a 5-volt load resistor particularly with this 1st generation EB7-X4 expansion board. With the newer expansion board, the new 550-Watt power supply requires no 5 volt load resistor.
