Last Updated: Oct 25, 2016 11:11AM PDT
Product: PE6R4 (obsolete)
Computer: Desktop / Workstation
Operating System: Windows and Apple

Problem:

My old PE6R4 unit is running protools unfortunately My MacPro Intel based computer is not detecting the Protools Hardware.

What should I do?

Things to check:

Check the Switch settings on S1  make sure the dip switches are set correctly.

1 - off
2 - on
3 - off
4 - off

You must use FIG: B  if your Mezzanine card has no EEPROM. Picture below shows a Mezzanine card w/o an EEPROM.

=================

The EEprom also fixes clicks-n-pops with PE6R4 across the board (XP, MacOS X, etc.). And other issue such as DAE error When more than 4 ProTools cards are loaded in the chassis, EEPROM fixes that.
*Olde PE6R4(w/o EEPROM) can cause the MacOS X with MacPro to lock-up and crash, EEPROM fixes that.
* The EEPROM may also fixes the G5 clicks-n-pops

Check if there is an EEPROM installed on the MEzzanine card or the Daugther card in the Magma PE6R4, see picture below as your reference guide.
