Computer won't boot when the Magma PCI Expansion Chassis is attached

Last Updated: Oct 26, 2016 01:26PM PDT

Product: PCI to PCI chassis (2slot, 4slot, 7slot and 13slot)
Computer: Server, Desktop, Workstation ( non-laptop)
Operating System: Windows, Unix, Linux, and Apple

Problem:

Computer fail to boot up when the Magma PCI to PCI chassis is attached even if there are not 3rd Party PCI Cards installed.

Problem Found:

The PCI Hostcard needs to have 3.v and 5v,but if the host card is unable to acquire both then it will generate an error, which is computer may not post.  If the +3.3v LED is lit, this means the host card is only getting 3.3v or if the +5v is lit this means the host card is getting 5v only.

Solution:

The Dip switch (S1)should be adjusted  or set to ON of vice versa.

This should fix the problem, the host card  two LEDs must be solid green before the system will function properly.
