Recovering failed drives after intermittent drive failure

Last Updated: Mar 15, 2018 04:39PM PDT
If one of the drives in a canister experiences a drive failure, but recovers immediately, eject the canister that contains the drive using the ION CLI command canister:eject.
Then immediately run the command canister:rescan.

Running these two commands should revive the failed pool that contains the drive. However, be aware that if the drive is configured as JBOD, or is used in a RAID 0 configuration, data integrity on the drive cannot be guaranteed.

CAUTION: SanDisk recommends contacting customer support for assistance in replacing any drives which experience drive failure errors.
